Recalling the “caging of kids” at the U.S.-Mexico border and the “droning of countries around the world” on Obama’s watch, she argues that the Democratic president operated within the same fundamentally broken framework as his Republican successor.
“We can’t be only upset with Trump. … His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies. They just were more polished than he was,” Omar says. “And that’s not what we should be looking for anymore. We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile.” less

Just when you think you’ve figured out how all of the straw-colored, gossamer strands fit together, he turns his head and you realize nothing is what it seems, reality is an illusion, and life is pointless. But now, we may finally know how Trump accomplishes this remarkable feat of engineering.
In an extract from his new book Fire and Fury: Inside Trump’s White House, published by New York Magazine on Wednesday, reporter Michael Wolff revealed that Trump’s styling secrets have been disclosed by none other than his most trusted confidante — his daughter Ivanka:
For Ivanka, it was all business — building the Trump brand, the presidential campaign, and now the White House. She treated her father with a degree of detachment, even irony, going so far as to make fun of his comb-over to others. She often described the mechanics behind it to friends: an a... less

“Sneaky.” That was the name the President came up with, “Sneaky Dianne Feinstein.”
What, exactly, Feinstein did that was so “sneaky” was defy her Republican colleagues to make public a much-discussed transcript of the committee’s interview with one of the founders of the firm that produced the infamous dossier outlining a Russian effort to aid Trump’s bid for the White House.
And according to Scott Dworkin from the Democratic Coalition, the move to make it public may be finally waking up some GOP defenders of Trump in the probe:
“A friend who advises a House Republican just told me they truly didn’t believe the Russia allegations against Trump. So they’ve just been dismissing it. Today they read the Fusion GPS tr... less

I caught this little sunfish and told him I wanted to take it home and cook it and eat it up. So when got home he said he took it to a special place to have it cleaned and battered. The next day he showed up for dinner with four portions of fish and chips for my mother, sister, him and myself. I was proud as’ faak I fed the whole family with my little fish. I didn’t figure out until probably my 20’s that he just bought it at a local fish& chip place.... I’m rambley tonight. That’s fine. less
